A Preview of 2017-2018 Symphony Series

Southeast Missouri State University

Symphonies … choirs … and soloists, oh my! That’s what you have to look forward to in the upcoming season from the Southeast Missouri Symphony Series!

Season tickets are on sale now for the symphony … and this year starts with internationally acclaimed pianist Antonio Pompa Baldi in the gala season opener. Followed by Vivaldi’s "Gloria" this winter to help usher in the holiday season. The symphony will join with the choirs for this festive, powerful concert.

In the spring, the symphony takes on one of the great masterpieces of music with Beethoven’s fifth, followed by a visit from guest orchestra the St. Louis Symphony, on a return engagement to the River Campus in 2018.

The season concludes with Carmina Burana, a large-scale work for choirs and orchestra that conductor Sara Edgerton says is full of fabulous music and incredible energy that will provide a fitting conclusion to the season.

Now that’s a season and if you’re thinking you’ve heard it all before I’ll remind you of the magic of music experienced live on stage and if you want to secure the best seats, order your season tickets now at the box office.
