Sen. Claire McCaskill is scheduled to visit the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cape Girardeau this Memorial Day weekend to announce new results from her Veteran’s Customer Satisfaction Program.

A confidential secret shopper survey, the Veteran’s Customer Satisfaction Program was launched in 2011, following reports of problems with medical services at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. It offers a platform for Missouri veterans to give honest feedback on their experiences at their local Veteran’s Affairs facilities. According to a press release, nearly 1,200 veterans throughout 5 regions in the state have participated in the past year.

“Making sure those who have sacrificed so much receive the quality care and benefits they’ve earned is a sacred duty—and one I’ll always fight to uphold,” said McCaskill in the press release. “I started this survey years ago to help give our veterans a louder voice—and the feedback we’ve received from thousands of Missouri veterans has helped us hold the VA accountable, track specific areas of concern, and highlight what’s going well and what can be improved.”

McCaskill will be at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cape Girardeau on May 25 at 12:45 p.m.
